Speculations are brewing at millions of offices, water coolers, blog sites, and pretty much everywhere there is a pulse and a TV. With such strong performers this year, it’s hard to imagine who will be the next loser of the group.

Will it be Scotty?
Scotty has been hot with the judges for almost every performance—except the one from last night. While he has yet to be in the bottom three, it is quite possible things could change for him this evening. His performance was “safe” and “boring” according to Randy Jackson and J-Lo felt that it wasn’t the best song choice at this stage in the competition. If he has watched himself perform, he must like the fact that he tends to hold the microphone like a flute, a strange yet minor quirk. Being the only performer of the country genre, he definitely faces a challenge. Can he continue to impress the American public? We shall see.

Will it be Jacob?
Jacob has also consistently been on fire with the judges—but not as much last night. He was criticized for not giving more of a performance to showcase his vocals. He also had a bit of trouble with the Luther Vandross song he performed. Not only was he emotionally attached to the song, but he had trouble with the first notes because he claimed there were mysterious drumming noises in his earpiece.

Will it be Stefano?
No stranger to the bottom three, Stefano also is a likely suspect for the axe. According to TheHollywoodGossip.com, “we weren’t feeling the sexy vibe he was trying to send out, and his vocals felt noticeably off-key at least a couple of times.” It seems it could be an uphill battle for this contestant.

Will it be Haley?
Although Haley has had difficulty with the judges in the past, she has turned a better direction, artistically. Her choice of singing the popular hit from Adele “Rolling in the deep” was praised and her performance seemed to do the song justice. Thing are looking good—at least for this week.

Will it be Lauren?
Lauren has had some trouble with song choice, but has been usually given favorable reviews from the judges. She is yet another contestant who is advised to soar and take the art to the next level.

Will it be James or Casey?
Probably not. Both James and Casey gave fantastic performances worthy of buying themselves another week on the show. If there is anyone that can rip up and rock out a song, it is James. If there is anyone who can add unique art to the music and take risks, it is Casey.

While it may be hard to predict who will be next to get off the show, one thing is for sure: tonight’s results show will be compelling TV.
