Certificate of Live Birth of President Obama Released By White House As Real as Trump’s Comb Over

April 27^th, 2011 straight out of Washington D.C. the White House is proud to present, President Barack Obama’s birth certificate.  Proof is finally being brought forward on this day that President Barack Obama is in fact a United States citizen, he was born in Hawaii and there is a Certificate of Live Birth (Hawaii’s equivalent to the birth certificate) documenting this act.

First and foremost let me say that I checked into the records on Hawaii and there are two things, a Certificate of Live Birth and a Certification of Report of Birth.  What Hawaii has to say on their website regarding citizenship and a Certificate of Live Birth is this, “The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands accepts both Certificates of Live Birth (original birth certificate) and Certifications of Live Birth because they are official government records documenting an individual’s birth.  The Certificate of Live Birth generally has more information which is useful for genealogical purposes as compared to the Certification of Live Birth which is a computer-generated printout that provides specific details of a person’s birth.”(As per Hawaiian Government Page)

Now what very well may have led to confusion is the other document mentioned, the Certificate of Report of Live Birth.  “(2) Out-of-state and foreign birth records [i.e. FS-240 (“Consular Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States of America”), DS-1350 (“Certification of Report of Birth”), etc.] must be accompanied by notarized affidavits from the biological parents.” (As per Hawaiian Government Page)

When I looked into this further into what exactly differed between the form the Hawaiian Government Page lists as DS-1350 (Certification of Report of Birth) I found the United States Government Passport Application had used the same term DS-1350 as per State.Gov for certificate of birth.  What is with the confusion?  Well perhaps it was because as of December 31^st, 2010 the Department of State decided to do away with DS-1350 and just stick with the Consular Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of The United States of America as the foreign or out of state birth record document FS-240.

Did Donald Trump jump way to quick on the birther band wagon when he publicly began to accuse Barack Obama?  Well tomorrow, April 28^th, 2011 would have been a month since Donald Trump pulled out his birth certificate, but hey with two wars, a budget to plan out and a campaign to run, President Obama still managed to host an Easter egg hunt this past Sunday at the White House, get to Oprah for the taping of one of her last shows with his First Lady, Michelle Obama, and finally go live on the air at 9:45 to call out Donald Trump.

Huffingtonpost.com followed up on what the President had to say and one thing I really loved was when Barack Obama said this, “I know that there is going to be a segment of people for which no matter what we put out, this issue will not be put to rest,” Obama said. “But I am speaking for the vast majority of the American people as well as for the press. We do not have time for this kind of silliness. We have better stuff to do. I have got better stuff to do. We have got big problems to solve.”

Congratulations is obviously in order because right after Barack Obama addressed the accusations and the birth certificate issue of course, Donald Trump wasted no time in getting a press conference together and firing back. “I’m very proud of myself because I’ve accomplished something that nobody else has been able to accomplish,” he said. Mr. Trump said Mr. Obama should have released the document “a long time ago.” He doesn’t know why the president didn’t release it earlier. Mr. Trump said he wants to check to make sure the birth certificate is real. He said he hopes it “checks out beautifully” so the country can focus on other important issues.” (Wall Street Journal Online)

I agree with one thing that Donald Trump said, in regards to hoping the country can focus on more important issues. But hey Donald Trump, I think you have earned the right to wake up and give yourself two big thumbs up in the mirror every morning, one for getting the first black president to show his birth certificate and the other for your gravity defying comb over.  And I would just like to add one other thing, I am sure President Obama’s birth certificate is just as real as that comb over of yours.
