On Thursday upstate New York began getting a few flurries and by the end of the evening there was news of a winter storm warning for upper New York, Vermont and parts of New England.

For people like me snow for Halloween weekend meant heading up to Mount Snow for a quick rail jam.  After all I had asked for it for my birthday.  Route 91 in Vermont from Killington until Brattleboro is covered in about five inches of snow as of 530 pm on Saturday.  NYC is expecting 7-10 inches and Long Island is going to have a wintery wet mix.
